Nosy Iranja

Nosy Iranja is an amazing hideaway set on a beautiful small island just off Madagascar’s North West coast. It is situated 30 miles south on the coast of Nosy Be and is divided into two islands: Nosy Iranja Be (200 hectares) and Nosy Iranja Kely (13 hectares) which are linked by a path of white sand submerged during high tide.

The resort has just 22 luxurious private suites in superbly appointed bungalows each with a fantastic sea view. The bedrooms at Nosy Iranja have large king sized beds, adjoining bathrooms and air-conditioning. All chalets have a private terrace with private garden, ocean view, hammock, deck chairs, armchairs, coffee table and foot showers.

Situated on the northern part of the island, the bar and restaurant at Nosy Iranja Lodge face the white sand beach and offer a panoramic view of the ocean with unforgettable sunsets.

There are comfortable decking areas to relax the hours away, or you may choose to explore the beautiful beaches around this magical island. There is a selection of water sports available for guests wishing to be more active, such as snorkelling, sailing and fishing. There is also a PADI dive centre. In the right season there are sea turtles and viewings of nocturnal egg laying and hatching. Also available is trekking (with or without a guide) across the sand bank and into the village on the larger island to visit (among other things) the village school and the lighthouse on top of the hill.

Traditional massages are available with traditional Madagascan oils and there is a souvenir and local handicraft shop.

Nosy Iranja is one hour by boat southwest of Nosy Be.
