Belle Mare Plage is remarkable both for its situation on one of the most beautiful beaches on Mauritius’s east coast, as well as its sporting facilities. Its extensive amenities make it ideal both for families and active honeymooners.
The hotel was completely renovated in 2002. The 92 new rooms and 143 suites are spacious and are elegantly furnished. All have a terrace or balcony.
There are also 20 villas all with their own private pool, two to three bedrooms and a spacious veranda; the villas combine the privacy of home with the luxury and convenience of a hotel.
Four restaurants offer a choice of dining: themed buffets, Mediterranean dishes, exclusive Thai and European cuisine and a gastronomic à la carte menu. In addition, two beachside restaurants serve lunch.
The resort’s turquoise waters are protected by an offshore coral reef making it perfect for swimming and watersports. In addition to water-skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving and deep sea fishing, guests can also take advantage of four swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, a fitness centre, a beauty parlour, a mini club for four to 12 year olds as well as two 18 hole championship golf courses set in a 345 acre private natural park.
