Islands of Mauritius

Lying 1500 miles off the South Eastern coast of Africa is the stunningly beautiful island of Mauritius. Some time spent relaxing on Mauritius is the perfect end to a safari in either Southern or Eastern Africa. Flights to Mauritius are frequent and reliable and once on the island it is easy to get around with excellent road and communications.

Mauritius is just 40 miles long and a paradise of white sandy beaches and clear blue seas. It is home to some of the most luxurious and sophisticated hotels in the world. There are superb watersports facilities on offer as well as championship golf courses and top class spas. Nightlife centres on the hotels. There is a particularly relaxed attitude towards children.

Mauritius is exceptionally well known for two things; great value for money and unparalleled levels of service.

Mauritius offers a fascinating fusion of cultures - Hindu, Muslim, Chinese, African, Creole and French - that are steeped in history; these combine together to make a unique Mauritian experience. It is this that really sets this destination apart from hotels of a similar standard elsewhere in the world.

Situated just south of the Tropic of Capricorn Mauritius is a year round destination. During the summer, November to April, costal temperatures average 29C, and during the winter, May to November they are 24C. The driest months are between May and November.
