Bazaruto Destination
Mozambique’s Bazaruto is the largest island in the archipelago. Bazaruto Lodge is at the northern point of the island set along a wide beach. The lodge was beautifully renovated in July 2007. The African decor, combined with the "Deserted Treasure Island" ambience of the location makes it just charming. The generous children’s rates and relaxed atmosphere make this lodge very suitable for families.
Bazaruto Lodge has 26 thatched roof "A" frame Chalets stretching along the beautiful beach, and set amongst the luxuriant tropical gardens. Bathrooms are en-suite with outdoor showers. There are two family chalets.
Bazaruto Lodge has one main restaurant, and every night, dinner is announced by the sound of African drums. Mozambican and International food is served with specialties being fish, seafood dishes and grills. There is a very attractive open air bar which is great for socialising.
There is exceptional diving and snorkelling on the island and Bazaruto Lodge has a fully equipped dive centre, which caters for both beginners and experienced divers. The deep sea fishing is excellent too. Water-skiing, yachting, guided four x four wheel drives, sundowner dhow trips, boat excursions to the island of Santa Carolina and sailing are also available. There is also a large swimming pool, games room and library.
Bazaruto Lodge is 15 minute light aircraft flight from Vilanculos.
