Off the coast of Mozambique, just inside the Tropic of Cancer, lies the tropical paradise of the Bazaruto Archipelago. A mere 20 minute motor boat ride across the channel from the mainland town of Vilanculos are the five islands of the archipelago lying in the middle of a marine national park.
White pristine beaches are studded with palms surrounded by crystal clear waters which is said to have some of the best diving in the world. Immerse yourself in the archipelago’s colourful past and watch the local fishermen pole their beautiful dhows out to catch the wind. You may be lucky enough to swim with dolphins or even see one of the world's rarest mammals, the dugong (sea cow).
