Six kilometres off Seychelles west coast of Praslin lies the natural paradise of Cousine Island. It is for those who really enjoy being in "untouched nature" and is a stunning, beautiful, wild and romantic paradise. The island has been privately owned for 13 years and has been transformed into a private nature reserve through a systematic rehabilitation programme. It is the leading island in terms of nature conservation. All funds are used to run the island.
On Cousine Island there are four very large French colonial style luxury villas, 30 metres from the beach, each with a magnificent view over the Indian Ocean.
The island has a wonderful airy dining area which overlooks the ocean and surrounding islands. Cousine Island's chefs prepare meals to order, satisfying each guest's individual taste, the quality of the ingredients and dishes is world class.
Activities include bird watching, walks and involvement in the conservation and turtle programmes. Spa treatments are offered in the Beach House which also houses the gym. There is a freshwater swimming pool and watersports can be arranged. However for most, the Cousine experience is all about enjoying this untouched island paradise.
In order to protect the delicate ecosystem, Cousine Island prefers guests to arrive by helicopter from Mahe or Praslin.
