The Seychelles

1,000 miles east of Kenya, the remote Seychelles comprises 115 granite and coral islands which have to be some of the most fascinating and beautiful on earth. Scenically, the Seychelles have always been suggestive of the original garden of Eden, and now on 12 of its 115 islands there is an exclusive collection of deluxe beach resorts and exotic private islands that do the islands of the Seychelles full justice.

Soft white beaches, Coco de Mer palms and lush wilderness filled with unique flora and fauna means beachcombers and bird-lovers alike will love the Seychelles. With crystal clear waters teeming with shoals of tropical fish snorkellers and scuba-divers will find it difficult to discover anywhere better, the deep-sea fishing is also world class.

What really sets the Seychelles apart from every other destination is their beauty, it really is unsurpassed.

You can choose to base yourself at one destination and relax and explore from there. Alternatively many of our clients choose to island-hop, staying at two or three different islands - we will transfer you seamlessly from island to island, whether by helicopter, plane, catamaran or boat.

The Seychelles are 4 hours ahead of GM time.

When to go

Situated just south of the equator, the Seychelles has a warm tropical climate. There is little temperature fluctuation, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 31°C all year round. From May to October a southeast trade wind can bring marginally cooler weather and fresh breezes. From November to March the northwest monsoon wind blows, typically raising temperature and humidity. December and January are the wettest months, but the rain falls in short sharp bursts before the sun comes out again and does little to disturb visitors. With such consistently warm tropical weather, the Seychelles are a good year round destination.

Getting there

Whether you are in Southern or Eastern Africa flying to the Seychelles after a safari is easy. Flights from Johannesburg connect well with flights from Botswana, Namibia and Zambia. Tanzania and Kenya have flights via Nairobi.

If you want to fly straight from the UK there are several options, Air Seychelles flies direct, Emirates goes via Dubai, and Qatar Airways via Doha.
