Meru National Park

Beginning in the foothills of Mount Kenya and extending into the arid bush of eastern Kenya, Meru National Park is untamed Africa at its most alluring. Visiting it you feel that it is different to the rest of Kenya, much wilder!

It lies within a 1,800 square kilometre wilderness strewn with baobabs and is part of the domain made famous in Born Free. Most of Africa’s big game species flourish within the park. Birding is excellent: the dry bush and flourishing waterways harbour more species than any other park in Kenya.
